Why Oxshire

Not cheaper jewellery.
Honestly priced jewellery.

Fine jewellery craftsmanship doesn't cost £500 to make. It costs £500 because of the postcode the boutique is in. We skipped the postcode. Here's what you're actually getting.

01
Hand-Set Stones
Every stone is individually positioned by our Edinburgh craftspeople. No machine presses. No shortcuts. Each piece takes 40 minutes. The only standard we'll accept.
02
🛡️
3× Industry Plating
3× the industry standard. Engineered to outlast British rain, daily wear, and everything in between. This is why our pieces hold their look for years instead of months. The finish isn't decorative, it's structural.
03
💎
AAA-Grade Stones only
The same optical quality as mined stones. None of the ethical concerns. None of the markup. If a stone doesn't pass grading, it doesn't leave Edinburgh. Our reject rate is under 0.5%, not because we're lucky, but because we're rigorous.
04
🌿
Nickel-Free Always
UK REACH and CPSC tested. Safe for the most sensitive skin. We don't cut corners on materials, because the woman wearing this shouldn't have to think twice about putting it on.

Wear It

Effortless Elegance
Every single Time

Three things to know before you put it on, so you get the most out of it from the first day.

1
The addition of black enamel against the gold swirl gives this a distinct vintage feel. It breaks up the metal and stops the grey pearl from washing out pale skin tones. Wear it with dark winter coats or heavy knitwear.
THE ART DECO INFLUENCE
2
THE ENAMEL CONTRAST
Grey pearls can sometimes look a bit flat. The dark enamel and the pave crystals provide a sharp contrast that makes the pearl stand out. It is a very deliberate, structured design rather than a basic drop.
3
THE STORAGE RULE
Grey coated pearls show scratches if thrown loosely into a messy jewellery box. Keep them in the provided pouch and avoid getting hairspray on the enamel section to stop it going cloudy over time.
Our Promise

Every risk is ours.
Every reward is yours.

14-Day Money Back

Put it on. Live with it for two weeks. If it's not exactly right, the fit, the feel, the way it looks on your hand, send it back for a full refund. No photographs. No questions

🛡️
12-Month Tarnish Guarantee

If it tarnishes or the plating wears within 12 months of purchase, we replace it free of charge. No receipt needed. No hoops to jump through. One message to our Edinburgh team and it's sorted. That's the guarantee. We mean it.

✉️
Lifetime Customer Support

You'll always reach a real person on our Edinburgh team not a FAQ page, not a bot. Someone who knows the pieces, knows the materials, and genuinely wants to help you get this right. That relationship doesn't expire after your first order.

What Happened After

They didn't take it off. That's the review.

Bought these for a funeral as I didn't want to wear anything too flashy or bright. The grey pearl is very respectful and muted. Have ended up wearing them to the office a few times since.

My cat knocked one off the bedside table onto the hard laminate floor. Assumed the grey coating on the pearl would chip straight away but it is completely fine. Solid piece of kit.

Has a very 1920s Art Deco look to it with the black enamel and gold. Goes really well with a heavy tweed blazer I wear for work. Does not look like modern cheap rubbish.

Bought these and a white pearl pair to see which suited my skin tone better. Kept these grey ones as they warm the face up, and used the 14 day return for the white ones. Refund was processed very quickly.

Dropped the butterfly back down the side of the car seat on the way to a dinner and couldn't fish it out. Had to use a spare rubber one I had in my handbag. The actual earring is lovely though.

Forgot to take them off going through airport security at Stansted last week and they didn't set the scanner off. Handy to know. Good quality base metal.

You can tell the black lines are filled with proper enamel. If you run your fingernail over it you can feel the groove. Shows a bit of decent craftsmanship rather than just mass produced plastic.

The gold swirl part at the top covers the ear piercing hole really nicely. Mine are slightly stretched from wearing heavy hoops in my twenties and this hides it completely. Sit very flat.

Showed them to a mate who works behind the counter in a jewellers in the Victoria Centre. He assumed they were solid 18ct based on the weight of the casting. Proper chuffed with that.

Actually put them on for the school run yesterday when I couldn't be bothered to do my makeup properly. They draw the eye away from tired eyes. Very practical.

Usually grey pearls look like those plastic beads kids play with. This has a proper weight to it and a nice subtle shimmer that only really shows up in the sunlight.

Before You Decide

The questions
worth asking first.

No. The black accent is properly inlaid into the metal casting, giving it a smooth, flush finish rather than looking like it has just been painted onto the surface.

The grey has a subtle iridescent shimmer to it. Combined with the warmth of the 18ct gold swirl, it actually contrasts very well against paler skin tones without washing them out.

The pearl features a high-grade, durable coating that resists chipping during normal wear. Simply avoid dropping them onto hard tile floors to keep them intact.

They carry a decent visual weight due to the vintage design, but the internal casting is kept relatively light. Many customers wear them to the office without issue.

We use a muted 18ct gold tone that mimics antique jewellery, which pairs perfectly with the black enamel and avoids any harsh, brassy yellow look.

You have a full 14 days to decide. If the Art Deco style feels too bold for your wardrobe, you can easily send them back for a refund.
